Etsy Shop Open

As you can tell by the title, I have not yet been able to solve the conflict issues between my theme and WooCommerce.  I have lost enough time.  So, I have opened a shop on Etsy.  The name of my shop is MyCraftsperation.  There is not much in the way inventory at this time. Just two items, a completed bandana scarf and an unfinished basket.

I am very proud that I finally have some place to sell the things I make. Every item will be available as shown or customized to customer specifications. Here is a picture of my bandana scarf:

In this photo, the scarf is made of a white acrylic yarn.  I am making it available in solid colors or in up to three colors as specified by the customer.  It will also be available in cotton, acrylic or wool yarn.  The acrylic version is suitable for spring and fall wear, cotton is light and airy and good for summer outings, wool will keep your ears warm in the winter and provides a nontraditional option for a winter head covering.  The bonus is my granddaughter says it is super cute and she wants one.  As far as I am concerned, that is the best product endorsement ever.

Now for my basket to be.  This basket’s future is in my oldest daughter’s kitchen and is being made to suit her.  What you see in the picture below is the bottom and one row of the sides of an oblong oval basket that measures 19 inches by 7.5 inches.  It is made from teal nylon rope crocheted together with white cotton yarn.

When completed this basket’s sides will be 6 to 8 inches high and it will have two handles.  I will post more pictures of this basket when it is completed.

I am going to be working on some projects is the near future that do not involve crocheting.  If you recall my daughter’s home was extensively damaged in a flash flood.  The bedroom for her boys needs new doors.  She and I are going to made two barn doors for that bedroom.  She told me she ordered the hardware for the doors today.  She wants a wooden valance for her kitchen window.  I am going to design one from paint stir sticks.  I am really excited about these two projects and about working on them with my daughter.

I have no idea when my glitches will be fixed.  The glitches will eventually get fixed and I will not forget to keep you posted on how that happens.  Right now, it is more important to me to get some projects completed and ready for sell.  I have also promised you patterns.  You see I have this bad habit of just making something without truly following a pattern.  I think I learned this from the world’s best mother-in-law.  She and my father-in-law met in Austria, where she was born and raised.  To learn how to make her Austrian apple strudel, my sister-in-law and I had to have her pour each ingredient into a separate bowl and then measure it.  A lot of the recipe still says, “to taste”, but it is enough of a guide that I can make it.  My patterns will come to you in a similar fashion.  I will go through each my projects with one of my daughters or granddaughters to write down the pattern/instructions.  I will get you at least one pattern in my next post.

With that promise, I going to call it a day.  My husband has been asleep for over an hour.  Have a good night.  If I am catching you during the day whatever day it is, I hope it is a blessed day.  Momma always said, “Each day is an unpromised gift from God, enjoy his blessing.”
