Hi, I’m Rachel — your resident craft explorer, supply collector, and enthusiastic “let’s‑try‑it‑and‑see‑what-happens” maker behind A Crafter’s Journey. If it involves fabric, yarn, glue, clay, or tiny tools I probably don’t need but absolutely bought anyway… I’m interested.
This whole adventure started because I love trying new crafts, but I don’t always love the overwhelm that comes with them. You know the feeling — ten different supply lists, a million tutorials, and the sinking suspicion that you might spend $80 on something you’re not even sure you’ll enjoy. So I decided to be the person who dives in first, figures things out, makes the mistakes, and shares the real experience so you don’t have to guess.
Here, you’ll find me experimenting with all kinds of creative hobbies. I document each project from the “ooh this looks fun” moment all the way to the “okay, I finally figured this part out” stage. I share tips, supply lists, honest thoughts, and soon, curated starter kits so you can try new crafts without committing to a full craft‑store haul. Zoom classes and community craft nights are on the horizon too.
Right now, I’m obsessed with Kinusaiga — a gorgeous Japanese fabric art that’s basically patchwork meets puzzle meets meditation. But don’t worry, my shelves are also overflowing with glitter, mica powder, molds,, and more. I’m always ready for the next creative rabbit hole.

My Why
I’ve always been a crafter who loves making things and figuring out how they work. While I am particularly drawn to paint, polymer clay, and textiles, I find joy in nearly every creative medium. I believe creativity thrives when shared, so I keep no gatekeeping secrets.
